I was born in New Jersey in 1962, but was raised in California. I attended San Jose State and Humboldt State Universities, where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music with a minor in Drama. I completed a teaching credential in Music and began teaching elementary school band, choir, and classroom music in 1989. I have been the music director at Union Hill School since 1998. In 2012 I began teaching 4th grade as well. I am also Contemporary Music Director at the Nevada City United Methodist Church.
I live south of Alta Sierra with my wife and our cat, Mocha. My daughter is married and living near Monterey. My son is attending Chico State University. I have recorded and released four CDs of original music on my own label. In my free time I enjoy acting in community theatre, writing, arranging, and playing music, and adding to my collection of some 40+ instruments!
